This year’s CROP Hunger Walk will be held at the Leila Arboretum, September 28, 2025. Registration is at 2:30pm and the walk starts at 3:00pm.  Twenty-five percent of your donations stay in Battle Creek, MI. The money collected is split three ways and goes to Second Missionary Baptist Church New Vision Outreach, SHARE CENTER, and Urbandale SDA/Meals. This event is held rain or shine. This month on September 18th the Road Runners will be making their Annual Trip to Turkeyville in Marshall. We will meet at 11:30 am. Come join us for a great meal and a lot of conversation.

Sunday, September 7, is the ELCA Annual God’s Work – Our Hands Sunday.  This year we will again be traveling to St Peter for worship at 10 AM and then enjoying a potluck luncheon after the service.  We are asked to bring a salad or a dessert.  After sharing what is sure to be a yummy lunch (Lutherans have the BEST potlucks), we will join in participating in a variety of projects which include trimming those stamps we’ve been collecting for St. Peter, making “plastic yarn” to be made into mats for the homeless, writing thank you notes and making prayer beads. This is always a fun and rewarding Sunday!!
