Each November, Trinity and Woman’s Co-op members come together for a fellowship meal to give thanks for the ministry we share “under one roof” at 2055 E Columbia. On Saturday, November 10th, we celebrated with turkey, ham, and all the fixings. Check out the photos of the great time we had. Blessing of the Animals – Sunday, October 7th, 2 pm
“For every wild animal of the forest is mine, the cattle on a thousand hills. I know all the birds of the air, and all that moves in the field is mine.” – Psalm 50:10-11
God loves all of creation. On the festival of St. Francis of Assisi, Sunday, October 7th, we pay special attention to the animal part of God’s creation. Bring your pet to Trinity at 2 pm for a special outdoor service of thanksgiving for the love that pets bring to our lives. All animals are welcome, be they furry, feathery, slimey, or scaley. Make sure they are on a leash or secured safely. If your pet does not like to travel, you can also bring a picture of your pet for blessing.
Great Day Doing Good Work
Saturday, September 22nd was a beautiful day to serve our community. Trinity and St. Peter, along with Habitat for Humanity, Post Consumer Foods, and over 100 of our closest friends joined together to clean up our Post Addition neighborhood. While the project did not go exactly as planned, all involved deemed it a roaring success.
The plan was to have dumpsters stationed in the Post parking lot on Cliff and Marjorie where neighbors could bring their garbage. But when the garbage didn’t come to us, we went to the garbage. Teams of trucks and walkers headed out into the neighborhood to pick up trash wherever it was and bring it back to the dumpsters. This was in some ways even better because it meant our bright yellow shirts were even more visible in the neighborhood. There was also a block party with vendor booths (Trinity passed out prayer beads), free hot dogs from the Haven of Rest, $1.50 boxes of cereal, and the Post Hot Air Balloon.
